Clearwell castle has to be one of our most popular wedding venues. It had great surroundings, great food and a great atmosphere. It can be a home from home during the summer month with the weddings and photography.
Some of you may remember this wedding from the TV. Matt and Alana were a friendly couple so we suggested them to a TV programme for a real wedding type of show. You will see the Videographers with their shirts and jeans on in the shot but they were very pleased with the video that showed all their wedding and planning which of course came with the package. This of course was one of the services that we offered at the time.

As you can see Matt and the bridesmaid are playing football before the evening reception and it was hard to drag them all away to get the wedding reception back on schedule, which was running late by around 1.5 hours due to this outbreak of football fever!.
The bride is getting ready at the gatekeepers cottage on the grounds of Clearwell Castle, while the groom made himself ready at the Tudor Mannor House (hotel down the road) and as you can see ,his mum finishes the job just before the ceremony.
The photo with Matt on his mobile, dont worry it was his Nan on the phone wishing them congratulations.
The Photo of the flower girl was taken off the cuff as we knew someone was sat behind us, so dropped the camera down and clicked for that wonderful shot. Of course we got her again as she walked though the door later in the evening.
One of the things that made this wedding so good, was that the Matt and Alana had come on pre wedding shoot at Clearwell castle where we ran through all the shots that would be taken on the day with them.which allowed the day to run seamlessly. With the wedding in the morning, the timing gave plenty of time to relax, have photo shoots and to really enjoy the day. The gallery is only showing about 15% of the total wedding photographs that were taken on the day and providing plenty of photos to select from.
