Kingscote barn Wedding Photography service
Kingscote Barn is an almost match to Cripps Barn near Cirencester which is also another great wedding venue. This page of our website details only Kingscote Barn at Binley farm near Tetbury.
Kingscote barn is situated 15 minutes from Junction 13 on the M5 and 20 minutes from Junction 18 on the M4 and is easy to find. There was no visible public transport to the venue although there is ample car parking.

Kingscote Barn is a restored 17th Century Cotswold stone barn. Set in a secluded valley, making an idyllic setting for Weddings looking out over rolling fields.
The Kingscote Barn has maximum seating of 124, although additional seating can be provided upstairs on the gallery level giving you an additional 30 guest seats.

The Reception room and Ante room at Kingscote barn can stand 140 for drinks on your evening reception if inclement weather – in fine weather, there is a lawned area which is available through large doors on the side of the hall.
Accommodation
Spring Cottage is tucked away just two minutes walk from The Kingscote Barn with a stunning view out over the valley.
The cottage comprises of; two bedrooms each with a double bed, bathroom with over bath shower, living room with a double sofa bed, kitchen, utility room and downstairs toilet. There is also a small, private garden with a terrace.

The Tallet House is a brand new conversion located on the
first floor adjacent to the barn. There are two en suite double rooms, linked by a landing, both with exposed beams and lots of character.

General summery
Kingscote barn is clean and airy and well managed. The food service is good but this may differ from suppliers that you are restricted to by the venue. It also seemed a little rushed with the evening food being available for a short time (Note that food left for too long is also a bad thing).
The bar is small and situated in a small room but is reasonably stocked and priced.
The registrars are from Strouds registry office and are nice people to work with.
The venue is fully accessible for wheelchair users and fairly safe for children.
From a photography point of view
The venue is bright and allows better natural light than some other barn venues. There is a large glass wall in the main entry area with a high ceiling and exposed beans. The main wedding area is also bright and with the gallery, it allows for a different aspect to the photography.
The lawn area is described by the venue as large and it is not, but it is not small and what could be considered a good sized home garden. They also have a more ornate area just slightly away from the main building for photos, though at the time this was a little restricted with the car park being in the background (should no longer be an issue).

For a back drop to many of the photos, this will be the barn itself. As there are other objects such as power lines and posts situated close to the barn as well as a working farm which may create a distraction.
