The Art book is one of our most popular wedding albums which we have available. The albums not only look good but they also feel good and have a range of layout options as well as cover options.
Available in two sizes (11.5" x8.5") which gives you a large print size of 11.5" by 17" when opened flat for double page prints and panoramic images.
The other size available is (11.5" x 11.5") that again gives you a wide panoramic print size of 11.5" x 23".
For those of you that enjoy metric measurements, your albums sizes are:
8.5" = 21cm
11.5" =29cm
17" = 42.5cm
23" = 58.5cm
The albums pages are 500gs/m2 and to give you an idea of what this means, a standard sheet of white paper is 80gs/m2 and a high street print is 120gs/m2.
Many of the Albums of this type are around 320gs/m2 and it took us a long time to find an album that had the right weights and quality in the binding to offer our clients a art book that not only looked good but also lasted.
Album Covers
The albums come in a range of cover types but are not really that much different as they are all in vinyl. We are looking at leatherette cover options being available for these albums during the 2010 wedding season to improve of the ‘effect’ covers, although the custom covers do look a lot better than the effect covers.
The albums covers can come with the effect covers there are a few types, with solid colours, with an image on the front and image on the front, spine and rear.
The other option is to have a wrap around print making the whole cover of the album.
Alternatively, you can have a custom design cover to suit your requirements and later we will be offering the leatherette covers.
Page design
The albums page designs are all done in house, this allows you to give us an idea of how you would like the finished design of your album to look.
There is a download to help you select the actual picture layout or you can let our design team design the album for you based on what you tell us.
You can have a soft edge to the photos, photos faded into each other, boarders, circles, ovals and of course full page prints. With the wide panoramic albums you could have a page of 9 6×4 images, or you could have a large panoramic image covering both pages, or a faded back ground image with a number of images over the top.
You can have up to 98 pages within the album mean that you could have over 5,000 images within the book, but with the design and full page images the numbers would be lower that that, and hopefully we wouldn’t have that many images on offer.
For the design, we would recommend 3 images per page set as this allows for full page images as well as inset pictures.
While some people may decide that they should have all images printed as full page images, this is not possible due to the fact that the albums are landscape, and not portrait for full page printing, so all portrait images that were to be printed would remover the top or the bottom or maybe a little of both.
The wider album offers a square format where as we do have a portrait album that allows you to print in standard portrait format.
If this all sounds a bit like gobbled gook, and that you need a PHD to work out the album design; dint worry!
After the wedding
Once your wedding is over you will be able to view your on line gallery with the photo’s from your wedding day.
Shortly after this the page is updated and you will have a index page with links to the gallery and also to an album that we design from our selection of your wedding photos. You can select this album or you can select your own photos of choice and we will build the album for you and display it on the site.
All album designs are previewed to you so that you can ensure that the albums is designed to your specifications and that there are no mistakes.
Ten days later your album arrives.
* images shown in this post are the portrait albums only.
