At the Dark Barn at Barbers Bridge, you will find a wedding venue just six miles from Gloucester, it has a beautifully restored listed barn which is over 400 years old, and it is surrounded by 32 acres of open countryside. Perfect for wedding receptions and civil wedding services.
The Dark Barn is a family run business and pride themselves on a flexible approach to your big day, with a warm welcoming atmosphere. There are a total of eighteen bedrooms with en-suite facilities, you can enjoy the use of the gymnasium , swimming pool, jacuzzi and steam room and they even have a Beautician on site.
The dark barn is known under a few names due to its location which is situated between Highnam and Newent in a village called Rudford. The Barn, is known as Dark Barn, The dark barn, Dark barn lodge and Dark barn Newent and of course Dark Barn and Barber Bridge, Confusing one may say.
The wedding venue caters for small parties and up to 120 people dining, with the choice of an additional marquee which is joined to the barn via a single doorway.
Dark barn had a refit and landscaping undertaken a few years ago to improve the area for weddings and the photography that comes with the wedding. A new wooden area was laid and the pond (lake) was re engineered.

The Dark Barn offers a great backdrop to the photography and people enjoy the service and the food, there are some great opportunities for photography and there is plenty of space for group photographs to be take, the venue can offer you a wide range on photography styles and view point as I’m sure you are aware.
